A Custom Fringe Necklace....for ME!

After making 3 custom {{Fringe Collection}} necklaces over the course of a week, I couldn't take it anymore, as each one was getting increasingly harder to part with.....

So, whats a devoted jewelry lover to do??
MAKE MY OWN! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Yes, this beauty is all mine! I make it with all-time favorite color combination, rosy pink, light pink, and white! It just oozes girlishness, and essentially matches half my wardrobe already. ;-)

After referencing this {{Fringe Collection}} necklace to a few friends of mine, they convinced me to snap pictures and show it off! So here it is. :-) I can't take it off!

I wore it out and about to do some Christmas shopping yesterday with my husband and kiddos, and I received five...yes FIVE compliments on this necklace in a 2-hour time period! My oh-so-amazing husband....who is trying to become my official {{jewelry by jessica theresa}} CEO....was immediately ready to whip out my business cards to each person who complimented by necklace! I already received one email inquiry about a replica! YES!

I wasn't planning on taking the time to snap pictures of this necklace, but after referencing this {{Fringe Collection}} necklace to a few friends of mine, they convinced me to show it off anyways. :-)

I pour my heart and SOUL into every statement creation I make. And I have found (the hard way) that the ONLY way I am ok with "parting" with my creations once they are sold and I send them off, is to take a little break from customs every once and awhile and MAKE MY OWN! It makes it much easier to part with my creations if I have MY very own {jewelry by jessica theresa} jewelry hanging around my neck at all times! ♥

This necklace features literally hundreds and hundreds of glass pearls and crystals, in gorgeous shades of deep pink, rosy pink, light pink, and pearly white. It reminds me of Valentine's day, but I'm going to pretend its my ultimate girly-icy-wintery creation for the cold season..

Baby, it's cold outside! So I've gotta have something to brighten up my day when our brutal Wisconsin winters get long.

More Fringe! More Fun!

I've already done two custom {{Fringe Collection}} necklaces this past week, and since it's so fun to work with an entirely different set of tools, I was super excited to get another custom order for a fabulous "Fringe" necklace!
I'm totally on a {{Fringe Collection}} kick! Now that I have re-vamped my chain/clasp technique and added an extender chain to all my necklaces, this necklace can be SOOO versatile and fun! These necklaces are now adjustable up to 2 inches in length!

As delicate as my {{Fringe Colleciton}} necklaces may look, I can promise these beauties are incredibly sturdy. I'm obsessive about resiliency when it comes to my designs....thanks to my two fabulously energetic little boys....so they have given me wonderful training when it comes to durability!

Case in point....I let my 4-year old shake this necklace like crazy for a few seconds before I re-examined it and packaged it up. Nothing came loose and every "fringe" is super secure!

This {{Fringe Collection}} necklace is another custom order for a fabulous repeat customer. Its made with pretty shades of rosy pink, silver, light gray, and purple. So girly and SOOO striking together!

It features literally hundreds and hundreds of pearls and crystals. Over 1/3 of my Fringe necklaces are made of sparkly faceted crystals! They are so eye-catching in person,. Unfortunately, my camera....thanks to my amazingly awesome (not) point-n-click digital camera....simply cannot capture the amazing sparkle.

Nowadays, I also coordinate each (removable) fabric flower to perfectly match the necklace itself, as I sew the middles of my flowers with the same beads I used in the necklace.

Hope she loves it!

A {Fringe Collection} Necklace for a Fabulous Mama!

I'm so pumped that I get to do all sorts of different custom orders this month!! For awhile, I had been doing the {{Classic Collection}} - Option #3 over and over again (which is AWESOME! It's definitely one of my fav designs!), but this month I get to have an awesome variety! A {[Twisted Collection}}, a {{Beaded Rope Collection}}, a {[Classic Collection #1}}, and now a {{Fringe Collection}}! I love love love the variety, as I made my 10 original designs different from one another for a reason... ;-)

My {[Fringe Collection}} necklaces happen to be super DUPER different from all my other ones, as I get to use an entirely different set of tools and supplies :-)

This {{Fringe Collection}} necklace is a custom order for a fabulous mama friend again! I'm SOOOO excited to see her in this necklace!
It features all sorts of warm tones, including a chocolaty brown, yellow gold, and dusty rose.

It is highlighted by hundreds and hundreds of dangling "fringe" accents....all of which were handmade and assembled by me with my trusty tools. :-)

It's very time consuming to create a {{Fringe Collection}} necklace, but it's SO worth it. I guarantee you will never find something like this in the stores! At least not as meticulously detailed and sturdy as mine are, anyways! I always have my 4-year old shake each necklace after I complete them, because if anything is loose, it's NOT good enough and NOT done yet!

Add a few feminine light pink and bronzy brown flowers to match!

This necklace also features hundreds of shiny glass pearls and sparkly crystals. And since my pictures usually don't do my creations any justice, I can assure you this necklace REALLY catches the light!

I honestly can't WAIT for my mama friend to wear this necklace. She has been looking MIGHTY fabulous lately, and this necklace will totally unleash her inner girly girl. :-)
I also add a 2-inch extender chain on all of my necklaces...complete with a coordinating beaded "fringe" dangle at the end

Hours upon hours of hard work that ultimately result in a pretty darn cool creation!

The Fringe Collection...Update!

Almost done with my latest {Fringe Collection} necklace!!!

This is about 10 hours of work so far...which is why it's taking me all week to finish it. Mommyhood always comes first, and all of my spare time goes to my passion...making jewelry of course! And even though it's taking me a week to compete, I'm loving the way it's turning out!!!

I'm thinking I like the creamy ivory and chocolatey brown flowers to accent it?

More to Love From {{The Fringe Collection}}!!

Now then! Back to work!

After a busy month of marathon training, a few family birthdays, and a beautifully large handful of orders...both through my Etsy store and private orders...I'm ready to hit the ground running again! (And just in case anyone is wondering the best way to contact me/buy from me, it's best if you use my Etsy Store. It's much easier for me to properly keep tract of everything!)

Right now I'm working on another addition to my {{Fringe Collection}}. After heeding lots of feedback from you guys, this one is going to feature several different shades of beautiful neutrals! Including chocolate brown (my favorite accent color!), bronze, gold, silver, deep ivory, cream, and white. I adore this combination because the chocolate brown means it will look phenomenal with anything brown or khaki, the silver and gold means it will look smashing with whatever additional jewelry you wear (no matter if it's silver OR gold, of course!), and the ivories and whites really balance it out to compliment a wide variety of skin tones!

Once complete, this stunner will also feature two fabric flowers (attached with broach pins and totally removable) in gorgeous shades of cream and brown, and accented by creamy white pearls in the middle. I have a good feeling this necklace is going to be a hit!

Here are some pictures of my work in progress:

The Fringe Collection!

I'm in love with my latest collection.... {{The Fringe Collection}}! I adore necklaces in this "choker" length, because I really feel like a woman's neck is so beautiful and sensual, and absolutely deserves to be showcased with pretty jewelry. The choker always seems to be the perfect length to accentuate feminine features and pretty smiles!

So far, I have made 2.5 pieces for my {fringe} collection…two completed necklaces and one ½ completed necklace. I’ve basically taught myself everything I’ve learned about jewelry making (through lots of tinkering, experimenting, and screw-ups of course!), thus it took several hours of trial-and-error before I was satisfied with my final design.

I made my first {fringe} necklace with one of my favorite color combinations: pink, gold, and chocolate brown. There is something about this color combo that is so pleasing to the eyes, as it can be classic and modern at the same time….you will always be in season and never be out of style.

My second {fringe} necklace is made with another favorite color of mine….turquoise! I adore anything in shades of turquoise/teal. It looks phenomenal when paired with black, incredibly striking when paired with chocolate brown, and really stands out when paired with white or creamy ivory. I’m a big believer that turquoise transcends any season, so this necklace is the perfect accessory for a year-round statement!

My third {fringe} necklace, which is currently about 50% complete, is being made using gorgeous, neutral shades of chocolate brown, bronze, gold, almond, cream, and ivory. Now this is definitely a color combo that can go with anything! It’s so earthy yet stunning…neutral yet eye-catching. I am already a huge fan and it’s only halfway done! Since these {fringe} necklaces take average of 8 to 10 hours to complete, I hope to have it finished and listed on Etsy by the end of the weekend.

….then again, my hubby and I ARE running a marathon on Sunday morning. That’s 26.2 miles….of running….voluntarily. Soooo, perhaps it will be closer to Monday.  ;-)
