More Fringe! More Fun!

I've already done two custom {{Fringe Collection}} necklaces this past week, and since it's so fun to work with an entirely different set of tools, I was super excited to get another custom order for a fabulous "Fringe" necklace!
I'm totally on a {{Fringe Collection}} kick! Now that I have re-vamped my chain/clasp technique and added an extender chain to all my necklaces, this necklace can be SOOO versatile and fun! These necklaces are now adjustable up to 2 inches in length!

As delicate as my {{Fringe Colleciton}} necklaces may look, I can promise these beauties are incredibly sturdy. I'm obsessive about resiliency when it comes to my designs....thanks to my two fabulously energetic little boys....so they have given me wonderful training when it comes to durability!

Case in point....I let my 4-year old shake this necklace like crazy for a few seconds before I re-examined it and packaged it up. Nothing came loose and every "fringe" is super secure!

This {{Fringe Collection}} necklace is another custom order for a fabulous repeat customer. Its made with pretty shades of rosy pink, silver, light gray, and purple. So girly and SOOO striking together!

It features literally hundreds and hundreds of pearls and crystals. Over 1/3 of my Fringe necklaces are made of sparkly faceted crystals! They are so eye-catching in person,. Unfortunately, my camera....thanks to my amazingly awesome (not) point-n-click digital camera....simply cannot capture the amazing sparkle.

Nowadays, I also coordinate each (removable) fabric flower to perfectly match the necklace itself, as I sew the middles of my flowers with the same beads I used in the necklace.

Hope she loves it!

Wednesday...Recovery Day!

Well, we are all still recovering from the flu. I feel very weak and useless today, and I swear my kids both look a lot skinnier. They both have on their "stretchy" PJs (the tighter fitting, long underwear-looking kind), and they both look scrawny! When we all feel better, I'm going to need to plump them both up a bit before our "well-child" checks at the doctor's office next week. My kids are both already on the "lower end" of the growth charts for weight...and always have been.....but I hope they didn't dip too much from this past week! I think some ginormous helpings of avocado, olive oil, and maybe some extra Christmas cookies are in order once these kiddos are recovered!

My husband came home from work this morning with all the symptoms my kiddos and I have already been suffering from. Poor guy. He's a dentist, and his office was NOT exactly happy with his early departure, since he was the only dentist in house today. But I'm sure his patients don't want their dental work done by a contagiously ill dentist!

I need to care for all THREE of my baby boys today (why don't mommy's get sick days?!), so here are a few snapshots of my latest creation for my{{Mommy and Me Collection}}, made for an amazing mama and her adorable soon-to-be-four year old daughter!

The younger recipient of this stylish necklace duo LOVES the color purple, so she requested a necklace made with lots of purple and a splash of blue.

With or without the flowers, both necklaces are still super stunning. :-)

The {mini statement} necklace features four cascading strands of glass beads, made to perfectly coordinate with the {mommy statement} necklace. All the beads in this necklace are smaller and very appropriately sized for the wee ones! It also features a 2-inch extender chain at the back of the necklace, to allow for plenty of room to grow! It fit my 4-year old son (he insisted on trying it on before we packaged it up, since this is for his good friend Hayden!), and it fit me! It's very versatile, thanks to that extra chain.

The {mommy statement} necklace features five cascading strands of glass beads, made in various shades of pretty purples and some splashes of royal blue to give it a little extra punch of color.

A super bright purple fabric flower completes the look. I sewed the middle of the flower with the same beads I used in the necklace, to really bring everything together! The royal blue crystal beads really "pop"!

But those bright purple flowers are rather irresistible, aren't they? Happy Birthday, Hayden! :-)

Back to the {{Twisted Collection}}!

Now it's time to go back to the {{Twisted Collection}}! I love mixing it up when I do a batch of custom orders. It's always a personal goal of mine to tweak the design here and there to make it even BETTER than the last. The only way to improve is to recognize when something isn't working and then try something new, right?

This necklace is a custom order for another fabulous new customer. She loved the {[Twisted}} look, but didn't want to go QUITE as large as my {[Intricate Collection}} necklaces. So this is what we came up with!

She requested all sorts of purples. And I really think the final result sort of rocks! I wish I could keep it for myself! ;-)

The purples mixed with some silver accents look fantastic together. And since this necklace also has tons of sparkles, it really gives it that wintery-sparkly-icy look. It's PERFECT for winter.

It features various shades of purple, including deep plum, violet, a violet-blue, brilliant purple, lavender, and an almost fuchsia-purple to give it some amazing depth. And LOTS of sparkly crystals! Sheesh I wish my camera was better! I'm looking at this picture and just shaking my head...it doesn't at ALL do it justice.

I think this {[Twisted Collection}} necklace turned out awesome! Hope she loves it!

Custom Order for a Purple {[Beaded Rope}} Beauty

I haven't done any {{Beaded Ropes}} in the past few weeks, so I'm super happy to be back at them! I have this custom order and another custom {{Beaded Rope}} to do within the next week alone! :-)

I have to say, coming up with the design for my Beaded Ropes took a LOT of "trial and error"....aka, a LOT of "wow that really sucks".....and a LOT of "Why am I spending all these hundreds of hours on this design when it still doesn't look right??". I really wanted to make something long and super versatile, but my MAIN goal was to make something completely different than anything you'd see in a store. I wanted multiple strands, fun chains, and amazing sparkle. And I cannot lie...I'm rather proud of my design! It's a lot of love and a lot of hard work behind these beaded ropes! :-)

This {{Beaded Rope Collection}} necklace is a custom order for a fabulous new customer. She loves purples and loved the beaded rope design, so she requested a necklace with all different shades of purple, mixed with different shades of silver.

And this is what I came up with!

It's hard to tell from my pictures, but it features various shades of purple, including plum, violet, lavender, deep purple, and a really awesome almost fuchsia-purple to give it a little depth. It also features various shades of silver and gray to really give it a fun look.

And of course, this necklace features TONS of crystals and a sprinkling of rhinestone beads. It really sparkles!

Another {{SUPER Statement!}}!

So far, I have made three {{Super Statement}} collection necklaces. And all three took me about 12 hours each to create. They make the ultimate statement in every way possible! So it's time to introduce the next one:

I decided to make this beauty in various shades of red, gold, and purple....basically all the colors that I didn't use in my first {Super Statement} necklace! ;-)

This necklace was another 12 hours of hard work...and worth every second! To be super specific on the colors I used, it features coordinating shades of yellow gold, metallic gold, bright red, brick red, plum, lavender, and bright purple. It's awesome!

Once again, it's 20 stunning strands of cascading beads.

I've been working on this necklace off and on for about a week now. I got my inspiration from this fabulous vintage looking flower made by my friend Apollonia Dils. The flower features beautiful red satin, purple and ivory buttons, and gold vintage findings.

Yes the flower is big, but the necklace is a SUPER STUNNER to match!

Of course, it features my favorite beads....glass petite seed beads, pearls, and crystals. The ultimate trifecta combination of beads.

WELL worth the quality and hard work! :-)

Custom Order for a Purple {[Classic Collection}} Beauty

This past weekend, with the help of my FABULOUS husband, I finished 9 custom orders, totaling over 55 hours of work between Wednesday morning and Sunday night....

...and I must say, I LOVED EVERY SECOND! It's no surprise that I LOVE making jewelry, and now that my business is slowly but surely starting to pick up, I am on cloud nine. The momentum is rolling and I never want to stop! I can't wait to see what 10, 20, 30 years into the future brings. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I can't help but daydream about a storefront? Something more? I have so many ideas in my head just waiting to come to fruition... :-)
This one is a custom order for the {{Classic Collection}] - Option #3...with six cascading strands of beads, layered to lay beautifully across the chest. Although I'm dying to tag my lovely customer on my facebook page photos, since I love her color choices so much, it's a gift and I have to remain mum! ;-)

I adore doing custom orders, because it's always a personal challenge of mine to make sure the customer's vision comes to life. In addition, it's always my goal to exceed the customer's expectations! :-)

This lovely repeat customer requested a Classic Collection necklace in shades of purple, black, gray, silver, and clear!

A little purple flower can be the perfect added touch to make it extra feminine!

This particular {{Classic Collection}} design is my favorite necklace to make and wear. It's just so darn classic! And SUCH a statement. :-)

Love these colors together! It's going to a good home! And I can't wait until she sees it! ♥

More {{Beaded Cuff Collection}} BLISS!

Today has been a "Jessica versus the World Wide Web" sort of day. I have spent hours upon hours battling my websites to update everything, make them super user-friendly, link everything together, switch around pictures, etc etc etc. Since I am NOT an expert in web design or HTML coding, this has proven to be quite the interesting journey. BUT! I think I'm doing ok...?

Do me a favor and go click around my "official" website and my blog, okey dokey? I could really use some advice and feedback.

In addition to all-things website design, I finished up another cuff last night! Here is the finished product:

I was told NOT to reveal any information about the giver or recipient of this beauty, so my lips are sealed!

It's hard to tell from the photos, but this {{beaded cuff}} features pretty shades of plummy-purple, turquoise, teal, and graphite gray!

Again, I'm asking for a new camera for Christmas...it's the only thing on my list. So hopefully next year's pictures will be better?!?! Santa, I promise I've been good this year!!!

Twelve strands of shiny glass seed beads are braided together to form this fabulous cuff! It features a 2-inch extender chain and silver metal lobster clasp for easy wearing.

The pink cuff I am wearing now has 2 gorgeous Apples Modern Art flowers, so lately I've been decorating my cuffs with an extra flower to make a true statement and a beautiful work of wearable art!

The entire cuff is woven together securely and tightly to give it that stiff, sturdy look.

LOVE these flowers on this bracelet! I'm jealous of the recipient of this one! I may have to make a replica.

It's so hard to tell from my craptastic photos, but these colors look SO awesome together! Plum+gray+turquoise?? Yes please!

A perfect fall corsage for your wrist!

Custom Creations: Dawn's Classic Purple and Black

Just finished up another custom necklace for my mother-in-law. She requested a {{Classic Collection}} necklace in purples and blacks, with a few purple fabric flowers to complete the look. She is a Mary Kay director, and her suit is purple and black this year, so hopefully this will compliment her well!
